Some issues we can fix

No Power

No power is usually caused by a logic board issue, especially after liquid damage. The trackpad or keyboard can also keep the device from turning on if they fail,

Not Charging

No charging issues can be caused by both the logic board or the battery. Some devices are more prone to charging issues after liquid damage due to the location of the battery charge controller on the board.

No Backlight

Typically with no backlight issues, you will be able to see the screen if you shine a light through the apple logo on the back of the display. No backlight issues are especially common on 2013-2017 MacBook Air devices.

No Image

No image can be caused by both the logic board or the display itself. Typically with image issues, you will still hear the startup chime, but you will not be able to see a image at all, even when shining a light through the apple logo on the back of the screen.

Trackpad and Keyboard not working.

On most newer MacBooks the keyboard is controlled by the trackpad. Keyboard and trackpad issues can be caused by an issue with the trackpad and keyboard, or the logic board.

Liquid damage

Spilled a glass of wine, a cup of coffee or your Terere on your MacBook? Liquid damage is the ultimate nightmare for any electronic device. The good news is, we can fix your device and make it like the spill never even happened! 

Our logic board repair process

Every repaired logic board is extensively tested to ensure it will perform reliably for years to come.

A technician removes the logic board from the laptop and inspects it under a microscope, as well as measures critical power rails and signals to determine where the fault exists.

After making a diagnosis, the technician will replace any components that are corroded, damaged, or have failed.

After performing the repairs, the board is thoroughly cleaned to remove flux from rework, as well as clean corrosion that may exist under large chips.

A technician will reassemble the device, and will perform several usability tests, as well as stress test critical components of the logic board such as the CPU and GPU to their max. If an issue is found, the device is returned to step 2 of the process for additional repairs to be performed.

We do not fully recommend the use of NSA to ship your iDevice yet. AEX is the Safest, most reliable and cost effective way to send your device directly to us.

Package your device and send it off!

Make sure your device is packaged well. We recommend at least 3 inches of bubble wrap around the device.

Check your email for an price quote after a few days.

You will get updates as we enter them into our ticketing software. It usually will take 5-7 days for us to repair your device after arrival and approval. 

Important Info

Told you need a new logic board by Apple or another repair shop? 

Not so fast. La Clinica de la Manzana specializes in microelectronics repair and can fix your existing logic board, for much cheaper than a new board. Often times logic board issues are caused by a few dozen chips or components not doing their job. Why throw the whole board out when only a couple out of a few thousand components aren't working?

If you visited the Apple Store, you were probably told to get a new computer or told it would cost over $1000 to fix it; this isn’t true. We carry out component-level diagnostics and repairs to get your MacBook up and running!

All MacBook logic board repairs carry a 6 month warranty. If something isn't right, we'll fix it, as long as you are within the warranty period and the failure was in our scope of work.
